1) Wall Preparation
Make sure the wall is clean, free of dust, cracks, flaking, blistering or holes. Tape the sides of the wall with masking tape to make sure edges are clean and straight.
2) Tile Grout & Base Coats (For Tiled Walls Only)
Using trowel, apply tile grout to cover the tile joints. Wait to dry. Apply A1 Tile Skim on to the tiled surface using a trowel. While the plaster is fresh, incorporate Fibre Mesh into the plaster. Apply a thinner coat over the Fibre Mesh to cover it. Ensure first coat is applied flat and evenly. Allow first coat to completely dry. Apply second coat as even as possible to give a flat foundation. Allow second coat to completely dry. After complete dry, use sandpaper of 80 or 100 grit to sand aay irregularities.
3) First Layer Of Vasari
Apply first layer of Veneziano or Marmorino with trowel. Exert just enough pressure to apply the product evenly. No Specific pattern is required. Allow the first layer to dry.
4) Second Layer of Vasari
Make Sure the first layer is completely dry before applying the second layer. Apply a thin layer with same pattern stroke throughout the wall. Apply with a little more pressure.
5) Burnishing
Burnish the wall throughout with clean trowel when the second layer is 70% to 80% dry. Make sure the trowel is hold at less than 45 degree to avoid scratches. Remove the tape and let the wall to natural dry.
6) Sealer
Ensure final coat is dry before applying DC Sealer. Dilute DC Sealer with 50% water. Use roller to apply DC Sealer on the surface evenly.
7) Protective Coats
Ensure sealer is dry before applying protective coats. Mix two-part protective coats evenly before applying. Apply protective coats in at least two separate coats using roller. Wait for 1st coat to dry before applying the 2nd coat. At least 3 coats are recommended for shower area.
